E8
Web design & development in Hackney
If you make the thing and you're also the one doing the website at 11pm, this one's aimed at you.
A lot of the people I work with make the decisions and do half the jobs themselves. If that's you, a six-week discovery phase before anything exists is no use to anyone. So the work stays deliberately lean.
A fast site, clear pricing, an obvious way to order or book, and structured data so you turn up in local search. Built properly, handed over, yours.
Where it makes sense I'll automate the annoying part instead - the enquiry that gets copied into a spreadsheet, the order that gets re-typed, the follow-up nobody has time to send. That's often worth more than a redesign.
And if you'd rather keep the site you've got, I'll happily just make it fast and findable. That's a legitimate outcome, not a consolation prize.

Questions
No. A lot of my best work is for owner-operators - it's a studio of one talking to a business of one, which usually means decisions get made in a single conversation instead of three meetings.
Often, yes, and I'll tell you honestly when that's the better spend. Speed and search visibility are usually fixable in place; a rebuild is only worth it when the foundations are genuinely rotten.
Yes - that's the studio side. Prototypes, small runs, display pieces and props. Not everything a business needs is software, and E8 has more makers than most places.
Less than most people fear, when the scope stays lean. The price comes down to how many pages you need, whether you take orders or bookings online, and who writes the words. You get a fixed price after a free call, and if your current site only needs speeding up, I'll quote for that instead.
