3D Printing & Prototyping

Not everything I make is software. Design to watertight STL to printed part, all in-house. Things a customer can actually pick up.

3D Printing & Prototyping

Need something physical? A prototype, a display piece, a run of promo?

  1. Problem

Need something physical? A prototype, a display piece, a run of promo?

  2. Solution

Design to watertight STL to printed part, all in-house. Prototypes, signage, display pieces, awards, models. I got into it because I like making things, and it turns out plenty of businesses need something a customer can actually pick up.

What you actually get

  1. Design and print, one roof

From idea or rough sketch to modelled, printed part. No handing files between three different suppliers.

  2. Prototypes that answer questions

Get the thing in your hand before committing to tooling or a production run.

  3. Display pieces and signage

Counter displays, awards, models, branded pieces. The difference between a stall and a proper shopfront.

  4. Short runs, honest advice

Promo runs when 3D printing is the right tool, and a straight answer when it isn't.

How it works

Same principles, whatever the job.

  1. 01

    Talk through the piece

What it's for, where it lives, what it needs to survive. Function first, then finish.

  2. 02

    Model and iterate

You see it on screen and sign it off before anything gets printed. Changes cost minutes here, not reprints later.

  3. 03

    Print and finish

Printed, cleaned up, and finished in-house, then in your hands.

Questions

Prototypes, signage, display pieces, awards, architectural models, replacement parts, short promo runs. If it fits on a desk and doesn't need to survive a rocket launch, probably that.

Either works. Send an STL or a STEP file and I print it, or bring a sketch, a measurement or a broken original and I model it first. Many print shops only take finished files, so design plus print in one place is the main reason people come to me.

That's how most pieces start. We talk it through, I model it, and you see it on screen before anything gets printed.

Same skills, different output: precise modelling, iteration, and caring about the finish. I got into it because I like making things, and it turns out plenty of businesses need something physical.
