Upper Street and Angel are a short hop from me. If you'd rather I came and sat in your shop for half an hour than did three video calls, that's easy to arrange.
What I get asked for in N1 is usually one of two things. Make the site I've already got work properly, or build the thing the business actually needs so we can stop patching round it. Both are fine places to start.
Either way it starts with a straight audit: what's slow, what's broken, what Google can't read, and what's costing you enquiries. Then we fix the expensive problems first rather than opening with a redesign nobody asked for.
For the bigger jobs, a booking flow, a members area, a proper back office instead of a spreadsheet, I build it in Next.js and hand you the keys. No lock-in, no hostage situation, no monthly fee to change your opening hours.

It depends entirely on whether you need a site or a system. A fast, well-built brochure site for a local business is a very different job from a booking platform with accounts and payments. I scope honestly and tell you which one you actually need - including when the answer is 'fix the one you've got'.
Yes, that's a lot of what I do. I'll review what's there, tell you plainly whether it's salvageable, and take it on if it is. If it isn't, I'll say so rather than quietly billing you to keep something bad alive.
Yes. Angel and Upper Street are close enough that meeting properly is easy, and for local businesses that usually beats a stack of video calls.
The technical side, always - speed, structured data, clean URLs, proper metadata are all part of the build, not an upsell. Ongoing content and campaign work is a separate service if you want it.
Yes. A lot of N1 work starts as a website and turns out to need a system: online booking, a members area, client logins, or a back office to replace the spreadsheet. I build both, and I'll tell you honestly which one you actually need.
