Photography needs the product to exist, sit still, and come in one colour. Modelling does not. Built in Blender, rendered as stills or animation, or made interactive in the browser.

Modelled, lit and rendered in Blender. Product visuals, animations, and interactive 3D that runs in the browser with Three.js. Useful when the product is unbuilt, too big to photograph, or comes in fourteen finishes.

The same model exported to glTF and loaded with Three.js, so customers can rotate it, configure it and see the price change. Kept under a few megabytes so it loads on a phone.

Reference and intent
Photos, drawings, a CAD file or a physical sample, plus what the image has to do. A hero shot and a technical explainer are different jobs.

You see grey renders before anything gets textured or lit. Shape problems are cheap to fix at that stage and expensive afterwards.

Final stills and animation, or an optimised glTF export wired into your site, with a still fallback for devices that cannot run it.

What do you need from me to start?
Whatever exists: photos, a technical drawing, a CAD file, dimensions, or the physical object. If none of that exists yet, a sketch and a conversation is enough to get the first pass modelled.
Is 3D cheaper than a photoshoot?
Not always for a single image. It wins decisively when the product has variants, when it does not exist yet, when it is too big or too small to photograph well, or when you will need new angles again next quarter. The model is reusable; a photoshoot is not.
Can customers spin the product on my website?
Yes. The model exports to glTF and runs in Three.js, usually through React Three Fiber on a Next.js site. The whole scene should stay under about three megabytes including textures, which is a modelling decision as much as a code one.
Will 3D slow my site down or hurt SEO?
Only if it is done carelessly. The scene loads after the page is interactive, geometry and textures are compressed, and all the real information stays in HTML alongside it, so search engines and AI assistants read the page normally.
Can the same model be 3D printed?
Usually, with work. Printing needs watertight geometry and real-world scale rather than a surface that only looks right on camera. I do both, so the model can be prepared for either without starting again.
